About Me - Because Your Mental Health Matters

Hello and welcome to Mind & Body Therapy. By visiting this page you have taken the first step in deciding to take care of yourself, congratulations!

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, low or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Maybe you’re living with chronic illness or disability, trying to balance your emotional needs with a body or mind that doesn’t always cooperate. Maybe you’re neurodivergent - tired of masking, explaining, or trying to make things work in a world that doesn’t always make space for you.

And maybe, you’re just tired of pretending you’re okay when you’re not.

Whatever brings you here - you’re allowed to want more. More peace. More clarity. More understanding. More space just to be.

I work with people who are often expected to hold it all together, even when things feel like they’re quietly falling apart - people living with anxiety, depression, burnout, or emotional exhaustion…

As your Counsellor my role is to listen and not judge. A counselling conversation is not like talking with family or friends. It isn't about me; it is all about you. I won't tell you about someone else's similar experience or my experience, or what I believe you should do; the focus is on you and how I can best support you by exploring anything you feel may be causing you to feel stuck, preventing you from moving on or wondering together how life would be if you could be your ‘true and best self’.

Mental health refers to a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how people think, feel, and behave. Maintaining good mental health is essential for handling stress, building relationships, and making decisions in daily life.

If you experience persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or stress that interfere with daily life, it may be time to seek professional support. Other signs include difficulty concentrating, changes in sleep patterns, or feelings of isolation and hopelessness.

Yes, online therapy can be very effective for many individuals. It offers flexibility, accessibility, and privacy, making it easier for people to access professional help from the comfort of their own homes.

You can improve your mental well-being by practicing self-care, such as regular exercise, a healthy diet, mindfulness, and getting enough sleep. Additionally, staying connected with loved ones and seeking help when needed are essential steps toward better mental health.
